Day 3: Journey to Sorrento

Today was our last morning in the beautiful city of Rome. We sat down and had breakfast at the hotel, packed up our suitcases and departed for our next stop on the journey. Getting to the train terminal, I was surprised about the amount of stores and shops available. Shannon and I grabbed a cup of Caffe Freddo. All of the food at the terminal looked delicious, it was hard to pick just one thing.

Making our way to Sorrento, we boarded a high speed train the took us in Naples. The views from the train ride were absolutely amazing, it was so nice to see more of a country view of Italy. As we exited the train, we all struggled to carry out heavy luggage and squeeze through the doors. Naples was very urban and was much different than I expected. The bus ride to Sorrento was breathtaking; we drove along the coast and saw all of the beautiful houses and cliffs as they joined with the various coastal towns.

I am excited to see the adventures and memories Sorrento will bring. Our apartment is very nice and is way bigger than I expected. I am looking forward to working toilets and having extra living space. Cannot wait the go to the class orientation tomorrow and tour around Sorrento.
